"High Frequency Hope and Heartfelt Vibration," the title cut, derives from John's fascination with theories about the influence of sound on behavior. The fictitious story, "The Lights Are Going Out In Billy's House", was inspired by Pittsburgh sports legend and light heavyweight champ Billy Conn. "Fais Ce Que Voudras" (Do What You Want!) modernizes a slogan of irreverent French philosopher and comic novelist Rabelais. In addition to the songs written by John, the CD introduces songs by Nashville's Gary Vincent and chart-topping songwriter Bob Corbin. John's new arrangements of Stephen Stills' classic "Love The One You're With" and Bob Dylan's "Shelter From The Storm" two of his songwriting heroes.
